CLIVE ISENBERG,
Managing Director


In 1988 Clive Isenberg founded Scottish Pacific Business Finance. Under his direction, Scottish Pacific went on to become Australia and New Zealand’s largest and most successful cash flow financier with a reputation of being the region’s only truly specialist SME financier. He spent many years as a Director of Bank of Scotland’s investments in Australia.

In 1994 Clive founded the Institute of Factors and Discounters of Australia and New Zealand and was its inaugural Chairman. Two years later he was elected Chairman of the world Factoring and Invoice Discounting body, Factors Chain International.

In 2000 Clive sold Scottish Pacific Business Finance group to Australia’s fifth largest bank, St. George Bank. He became General Manager of St. George Banks’ newly created Business Customers division, which he successfully ran for four years until his retirement from the Bank in September 2004. Clive is a director of National Hire/Caterpillar Group.



PETER GAMMELL,
CEO 


Peter Gammell is an extremely successful businessman and entrepreneur, a Scottish Chartered Accountant and a director of numerous companies in Australia, USA, UK and China. Peter joined Kerry Stokes' organisation in 1981 and is currently the Group Managing Director of Mr. Stokes' private company, Australian Capital Equity Pty. Ltd. ["ACE"]. ACE has a wide range of interests including the Western Australian, New South Wales and North-Eastern China Caterpillar dealerships – WesTrac Pty. Ltd., and a major interest in the Seven Network Ltd.

Between 1984 and 1989 Peter was a director of Castle Cairn (Financial Services) Ltd. an investment management company based in Edinburgh, Scotland and a member of IMRO. During this time he was also a director of Cairn Energy Management Limited and Cairn Energy PLC.

Peter is currently a director of Seven Network Limited and National Hire Limited. He is also a former director of a subsidiary of the Bank of Scotland, Scottish Pacific Business Finance Holdings Ltd. Former public company directorships include B Digital Ltd. and R M Williams Holdings Ltd.



WILFRED BAGG,
CFO


Wilfred provides Octet with a mixture of strong commercial and professional accounting experience. He is an experienced and motivated executive with Chartered Accountant qualifications and extensive entrepreneurial, general management and financial experience gained in a variety of industries in South Africa, the USA and Australia. Wilfred is also founder and CEO of Oxford Asia Pacific Investments based in Melbourne.

He was Managing Director for a Melbourne based manufacturer and distributor of branded bedding products and also served as Managing Director for a Perth based manufacturer of floor care appliances, responsible for operations in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim.
During a 15-year career in the United States, Wilfred was first a Management Consultant in the Los Angeles office of Price Waterhouse and then CFO for a manufacturer of building products.




JAMES NIU,
HEAD OF OPERATIONS - CHINA


Prior to joining Octet James was a managing partner at Maxwin Business Consulting, a management consulting firm in Shanghai. He also held a position as a senior management consultant at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, where he supported and led projects across a wide variety of industries including financial services, pharmaceutical, retail, real estate, manufacturing and hi-tech. Prior to that, James worked as a risk manager for institutional clients at American Express Company in New York.

James received his Bachelor of Science with honor from Peking University. He received his Ph.D in Molecular Biology from Cornell University.
