Some fees which Octet Finance Pty Ltd charges will not, in total, exceed 2.25% of the value of the relevant sale transaction. This is the cap referred to in this website. It is essential that you read the terms and conditions as they provide full particulars of the fees and charges. The fees and charges will be specified in the terms and condition and an offer which Octet Finance Pty Ltd and Octet Trading Limited make. It is the order placement fee and the transaction fee described in the terms and conditions and specified in the facility offer, charged by Octet Finance Pty Ltd to the Australian importer, which will not exceed 2.25% of the value of the relevant sale transaction. Other fees and charges, together with interest, can be charged and they are not necessarily within the cap. The Chinese exporter will be required to pay another fee which is called an order acceptance fee. If the Octet arranged LC method applies the Australian importer will be required to pay a letter of credit application fee.
Since the terms and conditions, including the fees which are charged, can be changed we may increase the order placement fee and the transaction fee. The total of those fees, as so increased, could exceed the 2.25% cap. You will be told before we do this.
